The Peel Halton Workforce Development Group (PHWDG) announced today that they are currently conducting their sixth annual employer opinion survey in Peel and Halton Region. The survey is designed to obtain feedback from the employer perspective on local labour market issues. With a target of 500 or more employer responses, this study is an important window into the trends and concerns emerging in our region.
This year our survey will focus on the following topics: precarious employment, experiential learning, inclusion and diversity and skill and labour shortages. Local employers are encouraged to participate in the survey, and should expect to receive:
- A platform to highlight their workforce needs and challenges
- Access to a myriad of information that will allow employers to identify gaps in training, skills, education and labour to help further improve their business
- Survey findings that reveal trends useful in workforce planning
“Ensuring that we understand the demand side of the labour market is critically important for PHWDG’s research and planning,” says Shalini da Cunha, Executive Director. “Moreover, it will help us understand what challenges employers are facing and how we can best help advance labour market outcomes in Peel and Halton Region.” If you are a local employer, we invite you to participate in this innovative online survey running between July 26th and August 31st, 2016.
THE SURVEY IS NOW CLOSED - CHECK BACK IN DECEMBER FOR THE RESULTS
