Frequently Asked Questions

What is a LEPC?

LEPC stands for Local Employment Planning Council. The LEPCs drive local approaches in the planning and delivery of employment and training services, while supporting the improvement of labour market conditions in local communities through enhanced collection and distribution of local labour market information and community engagement.

Why is LEPC a pilot project?

In order to best evaluate the feasibility, time, cost, and effect of LEPCs on the local labour market, a shorter, small-scale project has been initiated first. This will provide an opportunity to test issues and solutions and determine the best practices with the possibility of adopting them in a larger scale.

I want to be included in the project. Who can I contact?

The LEPC is committed to a high level of stakeholder input. If you are an employer or Employment Ontario Service provider working in Peel-Halton, we would love to hear from you. Please contact our offices at (905) 306-9588 or by email at
